Natural or propane gas is fed to the burner below the water tank. Once the water converts to steam it moves through the piping and is distributed throughout your rooms.

The steam can be used to send heat to your roomsÂ’ air or floors in the winter, or to send hot water to your bath fixtures year round. Closed systems feed the steam back through the opposite end of the boiler as it cools so that it may be used once more. The other form of boiler is the open system which sends the used steam out; never to be heard from again.
